Values

7 Circles is many things, and we believe in many things, but the main, overarching concept behind our network is that we believe in the freedom of the internet, the value in doing things yourself, decentralization and the destruction of the megacorp powered and social media fueled death trap that is the modern internet.

Honesty

The first and most important thing of this world is honesty, and the ability to admit when you’ve made mistakes. Don’t hide mistakes, don’t try and bury them. Be honest, share the problem, so we can as a group work together to fix it. Lying is a failure of the highest order and is derived out of mistrust

Decentralization

We believe in decentralization. We are one network of what should be millions or billions. Build your own network, run your own things. Create your own little groups inside your family and friend circles. Find your home on the internet. Your home on the internet isn’t social media. Social media is artificial and designed for nobody to love but everyone to use. Find the place you love.

Freedom

We believe in the freedom to do anything you want, so long as it doesn’t bring actual harm to others (harm caused by someone else being moronic, like claiming trans rights harms them because of there religion) does not count, as this is made up harm. So long as your actions cause no harm to others, we believe you should be able to be free to make any decisions you so desire.

Connection

We as 7 Circles value connection itself. The act of making and being friends and close with people. Connection is the bond that creates some of the best things in the world. Together is the only way we can fix the mess we have created in this world, and on this version of the internet.

Transparency

We believe in transparency, because there’s no need to hide things from those you care about, and those you’re close with. Sharing how things work and why they exist is how we grow as people, and become better overall as a society.

Privacy

Privacy is and always will be a fundemental human right. You have the right to be alone, you have the right to not have your data and information sold, audited or scanned by third parties or other people for any reason you so desire. You have the right to have as much of your life private as you so choose, and nobody can take that away from you. Encryption is needed, privacy is required and no cause, regardless of how noble is a reason to erode people’s privacy.
